Students take the same curricular courses as the district’s traditional schools. Participation in scheduled teacher-led courses is given to guide students and provide individualized online instruction. The learning environment is flexible, which allows students to be self-paced with the support of online teachers. Because Cumberland Academy is an accredited school, students have the opportunity to graduate and receive a diploma.

Any students who are eligible to enroll in Cumberland County Schools in grades 6-12 may apply to attend. Homeschool and private school students who would like to take advantage of this opportunity are invited to enroll and participate. Students enrolled at Cumberland Academy are selected through an application and screening process
